Watch Bryson DeChambeau nearly murder a drone with his first swing at the launch event for his new driver
Bryson DeChambeau and drivers go together like Jack and Coke. The two-time U.S. Open champ is synonymous with the big stick, building his brand around the two paradoxical pillars of brains and brawn. So it makes conventional sense that Bryson DeChambeau is now the proud papa of a "game-changing" new driver from LA Golf, but if you know anything about Bryson, you know his new venture will be anything but ordinary. Just take Monday's launch event, for example, which featured the Crushers GC skipper nearly blasting a drone from the sky with his very first swing. Fire in the hole!
Classic Bryson. This is the same guy that infamously took on the lake monster at Bay Hill’s 6th hole (and won) and finished runner-up at the Professional Long Drive Association’s World Championship in 2022. If you thought the launch of Bryson’s new billy club wasn’t going to be must-see TV, you simply haven’t been paying attention.
Perhaps best of all is that you too can also aspire to be a professional drone killer just like Bryson. DeChambeau’s new LA Golf driver will be available to the masses, offering five different face options optimized for five different clubhead speed ranges. This is said to cut spin off the heel and toe virtually in half. Judging by Bryson’s near bullseye on Monday, we’d say it works as intended.
