The best thing about these clubs are the mid irons. The offset design helps launch the ball. They are such easy clubs to hit and I was able to move ball both ways. The longer irons would be good off the tee on shorter par 4s.
Really looks industrial with the screws in it. And the size is perfect. It's a loud smack when you hit it—but nothing annoying or bad, just sort of satisfying. And it feels smooth, too. Even the mis-hits were good.
lf you're a Callaway fan, you'll consider this one.
It encouraged me to make good swings just based on the look. It had a nice high ball flight and stayed straight and true throughout. I felt like I had easy distance with these, especially with the 5-iron
Fancy, modern look. It performed well, awarding mis-hits with a tight dispersion. I'd consider keeping these.
It's a beautiful club with rounded edges. You know it's offset, but it still frames the ball well. The ball just rockets off the face, too. Distance is really good with a mid-to-high launch, even in the long irons, which I love.
It sat well behind the ball, and with a wider topline—that helps. A bit firm in feel but the sound was within the norm. Plenty of game improvement and forgiveness in these, but you could still work the ball if you wanted to.
It looks sleek at address and I had confidence that there was plenty of help at impact and through the ground. The ball flight was climbing and maybe too high for me, slightly sacrificing distance. I think it's closer to a players iron than game improvement in terms of forgiveness.
It's easy to get it in the air and move it because of its design. It was solid on mis-hits. The sole seems to get wider in the longer clubs, but still wide enough in the short clubs. It looks like a game-improvement iron should, with a thicker topline, but not in a clumsy chunky, awkward way. I feel like I can make a hard swing and it's going to correct my problems. I love that because it frees up my swing.
Hit it well and it's nice-looking. Launch was high, but that didn't take away from distance or performance. It looks nice with good-sized head and was easy to get it aligned. It also was easy to swing hard at it.
I could easily produce a reliable draw. The one drawback was I couldn't shape it the other way, but it was a beautiful flight that was hard to argue with. Explosive power. Every hit felt like it was on the screws.
I like the black back plate on the cavity and you can feel how that conveys power through impact—like you were punching it. It was very firm at impact and provided nice consistent distance. The flight was penetrating, but I wanted it a touch higher. It does a good job of reducing sidespin on mis-hits.
The finish is beautiful to see at address. The feel and the sound was very soft, like a forged iron. I got great performance on the trajectory. It was very easy to get up in the air and the ball would linger at its apex and not drop out of the sky.
This thing is huge. It's designed for maximum distance. It feels like it's an iron with the handbrake off. If you're losing distance, this will reverse that trend.
Aside from the clean look, they've done a great job with this insert in the back without making it seem obtrusive. I was hitting this straight as an arrow. It's forgiving as anything. All my shots were in the funnel of useful. And it's explosive off the face.
Super high launch but with fairly low spin. There was a satisfying whip sound at impact. Soft in the hands but with enough feedback to help me learn. Not a fan of the rounded shape in the back. I would prefer something more angular.
The club is a looker. It screams quality. I got a softer, more responsive feel, and if you're somebody looking for help getting the ball in the air, this is the one. If this club gets any demerits, it's that my distance was average. However, a twin-sized bed sheet could cover my shots with this.
It felt very easy to hit a certain number. You get a very consistent kind of heat to it, not those nuclear shots that go past everything. It has a visually smaller head compared with other irons. It looks nimble. This thing isn't going to get you into trouble.
Easy to launch in the air. You can work it. Really good for game improvement.
Beautifully crisp sound at impact—more than you can ask for. A high trajectory that would hold all the shots on the green. It had great pop off the face. Drove through the turf with the slightly wider sole. Nothing held you back.
It excelled at impact and flight. Its distance was much farther than average while height was higher—a great combo. Consistent from club to club. Soft at impact, too.
Amazingly forgiving. It always returned an excellent straight shot with a nice medium flight. It felt light in my hands. Made me think I should be using a lighter swing weight in my own clubs.
Good energy, really consistent. Not seeing much change across the range of mis-hits. Ideal for those who want to play straight shots all day at the target. It was a little lower on initial launch but it did gain height. You're not going to be afraid to go after it with these clubs.
The small and compact head looks really smart. It was easy to hit with good, solid feel. It produced mid-to-high launch with a piercing trajectory and I could definitely work these both ways. I didn't feel like I had to work too hard for solid contact.
This club is a little more hefty and rounded than I prefer. Center hits are long and straight. Off-center lacks distance, but you pick up a ton of accuracy—they stay on line even with a below-average swing.
It's very nice setup—you can't see the back as much. You can feel the ball compress off the center of the clubface. The ball flight was a very consistent mid trajectory. You'd get the occasional balloon ball, but you wouldn't really lose too much distance. The face is extremely hot, probably 20 yards farther than my 7-iron.
This is a real professional-looking club. The thin topline inspires confidence and it was exciting to hit them. It's a tad firm at impact, but the ball quickly gets on line, climbs high and lands soft. It was adaptable to different ball flights. It's not a one-trick pony.
Smaller face than I'm used to but it still has that thicker topline. Good for someone looking for a smaller face in a game-improvement set. It's a little less forgiving, most likely because of the face. If someone wants a smaller-appearing clubface but needs GI benefits, I think this is a great choice.
Quite a bit of offset, but most people likely wouldn't mind that. A little clankier feel and sound than I would like off the face. I felt like I could hoist the ball in the air easier.
The club has a very friendly look to it at address. I wanted it to be a little more forgiving.
It was so easy to hit; almost as if no matter what you do, you just hit a good shot. Effortless. Explodes through the turf. I'm not sure if it was easy to find the center or if everything felt like the center. Very high launch. Rewarded with distance gains in every club.
This thing, the ball is just flying off the face. Even though the head is small, the performance is as big as you want for game improvement. It glides through the turf—even crappy turf. The faster you swing, the better it performs.
