This just feels like it goes on autopilot. It gives you a high launch with a lot of stopping power, like throwing a dart. The details on the back of the head are eye-catching without being too flashy. Maybe the best thing is the soft feel that comes with a trampoline effect at impact.
It's pleasing at address. A bit lighter of a clubhead, but it moves and gives you a soft feel with plenty of positive feedback and giddyup. Workability was off the charts and performance, I didn't have a miss unless it was a poor swing. This is forgiving for a blade iron.
It's really cool-looking from behind. I love that honeycomb design. It's unique, I've never seen it before. It's firmer off the face but not so firm that you have no control with it. It's definitely more forgiving. Not a shotmaker's iron; a stock-shot iron.
It has a descent, clean look. My ball flight with it was higher than normal, but it performed well and was consistent. It's a very manageable club. You will hit your targets but with a very high flight.
It doesn't have the bladey-like look that many players in this category would be looking for. It looks like it would be for someone who is on the higher end of the handicap spectrum. If you hit it on the center, it feels awesome. Mis-hits, you can feel in your hands very clearly.
It's so unique on the back with the 3-D design. I like the honeycomb. This is definitely not a club for a traditionalist. You'll either love the look or hate it. I thought it had a very soft feel off the face but great distance and it launched very consistently.
Initially, I didn't like the honeycomb pattern on the back of the face, but I applaud them for doing something different. It's actually milled into the club. These are very easy to hit and the ball launched high very quickly. The 3-D look on the back of the face seems like they put a lot of time into the club. It interacted with the turf quite easily.
You have to go at it with this club. If you don't, it's going to jar you. It's all or nothing. When you do go at it, it really responds and jumps out there for you. Dialed in on distance. On mis-hits, it's poppy but you don't feel it. When you go at it, the sound is more muted and nice.
You can tell it has some dampening to it that takes away the harshness in feel from imperfect swings. You can feel a little bit of cushiness. The launch and distance were pretty consistent. If you put any kind of sidespin on it, there was no escape. Not forgiving in that sense.
The ball always goes pretty straight, even on mis-hits. Nice performance, nice feel. It has a little bit firmer sound coming off clubface, but that's rewarded in how fast the ball moves. I had nice distance no matter the shot. The looks were interesting. To see the 3-D-printed tech was a surprise.
The honeycomb thing is really cool. If you're walking past it, you're instantly drawn in. It also has great sound and feel. The sweet spot was pretty big, too. The weight was distributed nicely. It also was easy to control. If you mis-hit it slightly, it really wasn't far off from an average result.
Workable, but not as forgiving. If you put a bad swing on it, you're going to pay for it. Overall, I liked that you can vary the flight some and it moves through the turf fairly quickly. If you're a digger, you could run into issues. This is a good club for firm, fast fairways. The ball went the distance I expected. There were no crazy jumper results, so pin-high is something you get out of it.
It's a long club but crazy forgiving. Even the misses went exactly the distance I wanted them to. It's a really solid face no matter where you hit it. You could even flirt with the hosel and somehow it still performs.
I thought it was on the lighter side and just powered through the ball. I got better-than-average distance and a mid launch. The ability to move the club and shape shots was unmatched, and I got no catastrophic penalty on mis-hits. It gave the feeling you could just go after it.
Looks as if it were printed in a 3-D machine. Something new. Everything was too extreme with sound and firmness. That said, it was easy to launch and get the ball in the air.
I had to go after it to get good contact and distance and I'd prefer to hit less than 100 percent to get good results.
A 3-D printed club is an interesting idea and you can tell either the material or manufacturing process is different. I did like the turf interaction and it did give a good, high ball flight. It was consistent, too.
