The approach of the fall golf season is a great time to take stock of your golf gear to see what may need to be replaced or upgraded. Check the bottom of your golf shoes, are they worn thin? Is traction lacking or is your foot leaning to one side? Sacrificing support and traction when it comes to golf shoes is not just bad for your game, but for your body as well. Perhaps you have a trusty pair of spiked golf shoes you love, but are looking to add an extra touch of style to your look ahead of your next scramble or scratch event. Late season temperatures offer the perfect opportunity to enhance your look with upscale knits, trendy trousers and fashionable golf shoes to pull the whole look together. We’ve rounded up our top fall golf shoes picks this year to match any on-course look.

Adidas

This year, we’ve seen adidas round out its golf shoe collection with technical updates to classic styles. The Ultraboost, in two monochromatic color ways, offers a supportive and comfortable option for golfers looking for a classic, athletic golf shoe. As does the S2G Leather 24, which was designed for all-day wear, inspired by the brand’s running shoe expertise. This year’s update to the staple Tour360 features the brand’s signature torsion bridge tech, placed lower-to-the ground to allow for greater individualized mobility and stability. And for those who can’t get enough of the vintage preppy movement happening on both the runways and tee boxes, the MC80 has inspired a blend of both athletic and retro, making way for the MC87. With old-school fringed brogues and a classic sneaker-style body, tradition and modernity meet their match. If it’s statement-making style you’re after, the updated Codechaos spikeless golf shoe with the adjustable BOA closure system features groovy motifs along the midsole and etched into the outsole for traction.

Malbon Golf

Malbon has been a consistent leader in the golf fashion renaissance, often mixing things up with noteworthy collaborations. The New Balance partnership is no exception. The lineup includes two styles, the spiked “Heritage” and the spikeless “550 Golf” models. The colorways maintain that California cool streamlined essence Malbon is so famous for, defined by breezy sage and crisp white that make for an effortless fall fit. And New Balance’s retro “cool dad” aesthetic is on full display. Looks aside, the geometric outsoles on both prioritize traction and stability, and both cushy kicks feature waterproof microfiber leather.

Duca Del Cosma

Golf boots have increased in popularity in recent years for golfers looking to extend their golf season into chilly, muddy forecasts. Duca Del Cosma recently released a collection of waterproof, insulated golf boots that caught our eye. The men’s Stanford Golf Shoes feature a luxe leather upper with a contrasting embossed leather heel design that adds style and a little extra reinforcement at the back of the foot. On the women’s side, the fur-lined Sonesta Golf Shoes are a bit out-of-the-box, but sure to make a statement while keeping your feet dry and warm.

Adidas Samba/Superstar/Stan Smith Pack

Sporty dressers and vintage-inspired golfers are covered with adidas’ Ultraboosts, ZG23s and MC80s, but let’s not forget the classic low profile street shoe trend that will never go out of style. Silhouettes like adidas’ Samba, Superstar and Stan Smith have been popular in the fashion world for ages because of the versatile styling and all-day comfort they bring—which is why they were a hit when the brand remixed the styles as golf shoes. Pair with a well-tailored pair of golf pants and a sweater to dress them up or opt for a modern, fashion-forward look with joggers and an oversized golf shirt, the simple-yet-refined designs of these shoes will subtly enhance any look fall golf brings.

Nike X Eastside Golf

This year’s exclusive “Everyone’s Game” collection in collaboration with Nike demonstrates Eastside Golf’s commitment to encouraging boldness, individuality, and diversity on the course. The gilded launch includes one spiked and one sneaker-style, and releases Nov. 1, but is currently available for pre-order (and are selling out fast). In a first for Nike, each jaw-dropping pair comes with three signature Nike “swooshes” in different colors so each player can customize their pair of their liking, or the day’s outfit or weather. Each color carries its own symbolism, including two editions honoring Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) in Eastside’s hometown of Atlanta: Morehouse College and Spelman College.

Ecco Biom Tour

The latest from Ecco—the Biom Tour Lace golf shoes—are designed with the brand's signature technology that focuses on quality comfort and stability. These shoes are a bit of a middle ground between a more contemporary golf boot and classic golf shoe. The collar is higher than the typical golf shoe, but not high enough around the ankle to be categorized as a boot. An interesting look for some, but one worth mentioning as golf shoes expand in their styles. The waterproof membrane of the shoe gives them a more utilitarian shoe style, a trend that typically trickles into golf apparel as we approach the cooler months.

Nike Air Pegasus '89

These special edition kicks scream fall golf, thanks to the weathered materials like waxed canvas and grainy leather that make up the weather-proof shoe, as well as the pine, maple, and chestnut color ways that make a statement and serve as neutrals so go with any color palette (or uniform) you’ll be rocking this season. If your size is out of stock, the G model has steely colorways to help you face the wind.

OluKai

OluKai shoes are designed with a special drop-in heel that will transform the shoe into a slide, so you don’t have to bring an extra pair of shoes with you for post-round plans. The beachy brand took inspiration from the feeling of walking barefoot on wet sand and brought it to this golf shoe design that aims to contour the footbed similarly to add comfort and support.

G/FORE

With new colorways recently dropped, these low-profile golf shoes come in a variety of colorways—but we recommend opting for a bolder shade to add a little extra personality to your fall golf style rota. The spikeless traction pattern on the bottom of the shoe extends into the midsole to give the shoe a little extra edge, without taking away from its classic and simple base.

FootJoy

With many releases sold out in most sizes, customizing your own FJ’s is a great way to go. For fall, warm, deep tones like burgundy and burnt orange evoke imagery of the classic autumnal backdrop as the leaves begin to change colors. As does this women’s blush-accented pick, packing the right amount of ferocity and softness for a fall golf shoe, while still prioritizing performance. For men, the sleek and waterproof Tour Alpha is a sturdy, upscale option for fall.

True Linkswear

With the reputation of designing eco-conscious tour performance shoes with mixed-medias such as knit and leather, True Linkswear continues to release minimalist sneaker-style golf shoes we love. For women, the reinforcement of leather and suede around the toe and heel areas of this low-profile “mixed media” shoe provides additional stability and weather protection for those dewy fall rounds. And for men, this hybrid waterproof style works with the demands of colder weather golf, designed for even if you’re walking the course.

Johnston & Murphy

A tried-and-true golf shoe, these luxe golf shoe from Johnston & Murphy ranked on our best shoes list for this year. It's a great shoe for any season, but if you're looking to spice up your fall wardrobe, the cedar wood tan version of this classic will serve you well, wearable with just about any color for a perfectly styles harvest season fit.
