Why We Like It
- An elastomer insert in the long irons saves 10 grams of weight that is redistributed to foster a higher launch and more forgiveness.
- Short irons are single-piece forgings to promote ball-flight control.
- The face and grooves are milled, bringing more precision to the manufacturing process.
- Weight screws on the toe allow for precise center-of-gravity placement.
- The compact shape fits the discerning player’s eye with a thin topline, minimal offset and shorter blade length.
- Retro Spec (weaker lofts) and PWR Spec (stronger lofts) are available.
- Top 5 in Performance, middle-handicaps.
- SPECS: 7-iron: 33 degrees; PW: 45 degrees

It's very high-functioning and has a nice, comfortable feel in my hands on any kind of strike. There's just no harshness to it. You can hit long irons higher that will come down softly. Very consistent through the set. Soft, but not too cushiony and the ball pops.

I got a sweet sensation at impact, very lively. Whatever they've done to the leading edge overcomes the narrowness of a sole that might otherwise be digging. These clubs provided soft feel and a lot of power. Good combo.

I was initially intimidated by the compact head and little offset, but with each swing my confidence grew. It was smooth through the ball every time. It's a little lighter feeling, but that meant I didn't have to labor on the swing. It's a great club.

Beautiful-looking club from all angles. It fills you with confidence. It's a fantastic visual club. The spin seemed higher than most. I couldn't hit a knuckleball. It jumped higher into the air.

I love the overall shape, a beautiful blend of forgiveness and workability. There is nothing off-putting. To me, it's a more muted sound. It had the look of being workable, but I kept hitting very high-launching, straight shots, which is not a bad thing. I'd like to get the trajectory down a little, though.

These are very high-launching. They are perfect for a lower-spin player. This thing is going to go in the air. It was firmer off the face and a little louder, but mis-hits were good, though. It still gets out there.

I love the bottom groove being white for an alignment aid. It also helps you focus on bottom of club rather than the top. The clubhead has nice weight, so you can feel the it during the swing. When you get one in the center of face, you get great performance. Dead center felt awesome, and although it doesn't look like a club that would be forgiving, it was surprisingly helpful.

It's great-looking and gives you confidence just standing over it. I hit a few bad shots with this one that lost distance but still went straight.

I got a pin-straight ball flight from anywhere on the face. The launch was high and the ball had more spin in a good way. The look is show-stopping—something that could be on display. And they were workable left to right and right to left.

You can see all the technology that goes into these, and when you hit them, you can see the benefits. Looks like a players iron when you look down on it, though. The technology is hidden. The face feels the same no matter if you hit it off the toe or the heel, which makes it difficult to differentiate between a good strike and a poor strike.

The white alignment line helps set shots up and it seems to have a little more size to it, so I felt more confident over it. Overall, I thought it was the best performing in terms of speed. Felt like the ball was hotter off the face and it was five yards longer than the other ones for me.

I couldn't hit the 5 as well as I wanted, but I still 100 percent love these clubs. The trajectory was super high, but I didn't lose any distance. Great ball speed, too. I also was able to move ball in both directions.

A little bigger topline than I prefer, but overall a very nice look. Interestingly, it feels light so I felt like I had to slow down my swing. The sound is perfect. The club does go the proper distance but didn't always stay online.

It's nice to hit. The ball jumps off the face really well, but I was getting just a little bit wider of a miss. With a little practice, these would probably perform really well for me.

It looks very hittable and very smooth-sounding. It gives a nice whoosh when you hit it on the center and when you don't, it doesn't sound bad. When you really hit it, though, it feels great and performs like a champ.

The look is compact with a hint of offset. Most noticeable was the really high ball flight that seemed to spin too much. I liked how it moved through the turf and the sound was pleasingly quiet.

David

It promotes confidence at address and looks like it wants to go forever. I could hit it anywhere on the club and it still felt like it was the center. It absolutely moves through the ground cleanly and I was getting a very consistent ball flight and tight dispersion.

From a looks standpoint, I like the angles. Very high-tech looking. These clubs are very soft but delivered the power and distance I expected. I got lower spin and lower launch, but in a good way. The biggest bonus was the pure turf interaction on the wedges.

It really moves through the turf effortlessly. My ball flight was low, but not "it's gonna nose dive" low. It just kept going. That said, it will let you know if you mis-hit one.

The hollow-body construction and a thinner, more flexible cupface (in which the face wraps around part of the sole and topline) on the 3- through 5-iron provide more ball speed and a higher launch to enhance distance.
The remaining irons have a 1025 forged-carbon-steel face insert designed for precision, accuracy and repeatability in the clubs where distance isn’t as crucial.
The company’s urethane microspheres within the body of the long irons control vibration, enhance feel and allow the face to flex for maximum distance.

A hollow-body construction with a forged, high-strength steel face insert produces plenty of distance sizzle.

The single-piece forged cavity-back is more compact than the P·770.
Cavities in the sole are milled out, allowing for tungsten (up to 11 grams) and a slug of lightweight metal-matrix composite to be inserted to lower the center of gravity.
The metal-matrix composite is one-fifth the density of the surrounding steel. This allows for more perimeter weighting and ultimately forgiveness.
