Why We Like It
- These traditional shapes focus on custom-fitting with an array of hosel options from heel-shafted to armlock.
- Like the company’s hollow-body irons, an internal polymer filling reinforces the center of the ultra-thin faces to enhance rebound, feel and forgiveness.
- The face gets thinner than a penny, which saves mass that’s redistributed to the perimeter.
- Rows of pyramid shapes on the face help modulate ball speed for consistency on mis-hits and for a softer sound at impact.
- Heel and toe weights in the sole are designed to provide stability and to help dial in the swingweight for the putter length.
- Top 5 in Performance, high-handicaps
- Models: Dagger+, Brandon, Closer, Mustang. Head weights: 325-415 grams. Lengths: 33-38 inches. Loft: 3 degrees.

I like the simple, black gunmetal appearance. The face generates a lot of variability in sound, depending on where you strike the ball. Makes it harder, less intuitive, to control distance.

Love the all-black look and little skeleton icon. Looks really cool. Struggled with lag putts. The longer the putt, the louder the sound. Feel becomes more about the sound, versus the feel of the putter itself.

A very forgiving putter. Even on mis-hits, the ball traveled the distance I was looking for. Slightly heavy putter with a quiet clicking sound to it. Soft in the hands. Feels like the putter is doing the work for me.

Heavy in the hand but doesn't putt like it has bulk. Firm feel matches the chiseled sound off the face. Ball rolls end over end with no hopping or excessive skidding. Consistent in both distance and direction.

On the lighter side of putters, but the ball comes off the face with a nice, easy, forward roll. I didn't have to force the speed. I could start the ball right on line.

Decent putter. Has some good weight to it. Gets the ball moving okay but when you throttle up, it gets sputtery. Can’t be too aggressive with it; have to stay in control of your tempo.

The black matte finish is elegant. Love the feel of the ball coming off the face, then looking up to see the ball exactly where you intended to be at the speed you wanted it.

Scott

The heavy feel gave it real balance, more control. On the easier side to keep it square to the path. Looks aggressive but gently guides the ball to the hole.

A lighter club with a larger blade head. Feel is a bit firm off the face. All that aside, it rolls the ball decently well, and has some forgiveness to it. A little more weight would be helpful in judging speed with the club.

I love the black on black look. Easily the softest face I've hit in a while, like you're putting off a face that's wrapped in Charmin. Easy to hit putts too soft as a result.

If you add loft to this particular putter, it hits the sweet spot and produces a nice, muffled sound. The ball still rolls forward right away. If you deloft the putter, it doesn't perform well. It's definitely for someone who likes to swing up on the ball.

The black on black is sweet. No distractions, just made putts. Somehow felt like the ball was already moving before I felt myself hit it. That's how soft the face is. Easy to get the ball on line and make it roll the right distance.

Well-balanced putter allows you to make confident, long strokes on big putts and results in excellent distance control. Short putts are no problem, either, Sound and feel are on the harsher side but that matches the aggressive look of the putter.

Matt

A little more of a mallet-blade hybrid than a blade. Very firm feel makes it hard to know where the ball is on the putterface. Even if you hit it square, you don't know. It did roll true and was easy to keep on line when you had the proper path and speed.

Jack

The unique reverse plumber’s-neck hosel helps to shift the putter’s balance point between shaft and head to make it easier to square the face at impact.
The benefit of the hosel is that unlike other designs that reduce or eliminate torsional resistance, this version does not force the hands forward with an angled shaft.
Because the shaft is aligned with the head’s center of mass, the putter face stays square to the path of the stroke to eliminate unreliable hand action.
