Why We Like It
- The T150 is hotter than the T100 thanks to its stronger lofts (2 degrees) and a channel behind the face that adds spring at impact.
- The muscle channel is close to the face to provide a solid feel.
- Dense D18 tungsten uses an aerospace brazing process that eliminates weld joints. This allows a more precise center of gravity and extra stability on off-center strikes.
- A softened chamfer in the trailing edge of the sole delivers plow-like turf interaction.
- The CNC face-milling process eliminates imperfections in the surface for better contact and control.
- The lower portion of the face is a shade thicker than the T100 to enhance feel.
- Top 5 in Forgiveness, middle-handicaps.
- SPECS: 7-iron: 32 degrees; PW: 44 degrees

These were a little less workable but a little more forgiving and my distance was really good.

For a players club, it looks like a class up and the ball flight was predictable. I also got through the turf nice. All the shots went to the same place. It also has that forged feel I like.

This is definitely a club that surprised me. It felt easy to swing and easy to hit pure shots. I got the least dispersion of any club I hit and great distance—some of my highest numbers of the day.

They look quite solid and make you think that you're going to hit them well. Someone would be proud to have a set of these in their bag. They are easy to hit and I really liked how they write the degrees on the pitching wedge. Nice touch.

The thing with these, they get through the turf so nicely. What's going on with these soles? It's the thing I love about them the most. Even on shots that aren't great swings, the sole seems to correct a lot of stuff. I effortlessly hit 4- and 5-irons almost like I could 15 years ago. You gain back some lost distance with these clubs.

I do like the look of this as a players iron and the weight of these are really perfect. It gives you that balanced feel throughout the swing.

Jack

If someone told me to draw a picture of an iron, this is what I'd draw. You get a nice thick sole but skinny topline and the weight feels like it's all in the very bottom. The spin dropped for me on these. That's good for hitting into the wind or if you're a spinny player. It feels like I can very easily take the elements out of play. A do-it-all club.

It's like a submarine, it sneaks up on you and performs. The consistency is there. You don't have to jump at it. Just put a smooth swing on it and it flies off the face. The high ball flight is fine because it's still getting it out there.

These clubs were so easy to hit, they might go in my bag. The sound and feel were great and the ball jumps off the club with even a smooth, less-than-100-percent swing.

Matt

It's very pleasant on the eye when you set up to it and such a powerful sound behind it when you get it. It's like a punchy sound off a hot face. Feel-wise, it's on the softer side but didn't affect my ability to hit solid shots. This is a total overachiever.

I definitely thinned and toed a couple, but the numbers were consistent. It was almost like I hit it in the screws. I'm a high-ball hitter, but these didn't come off too high. They were more penetrating. It's a classic, great club.

Anand

They are easy to launch and I think that starts with turf interaction. I didn't feel like I had to hit down on it. They took the perfect-sized divot and glided through the ball. Still, they are not the easiest club to move the ball in both directions.

There's nothing on the ground you don't want to look at. A classic look to these. The ball does what you mostly expect, but I found a bit too much of a draw-bias. The ball launches high and lands soft. Off-center hits are minimized but still true directionally.

Robert

I thought the turf interaction was very forgiving, even if I was steeper. As far as sound, it feels softer. I think overall it gave good performance, yet if you caught one well, it seemed to be a bit hotter. Not sure if that is a plus.

It has a slightly bigger topline but it's hard to notice. It has a classic, plain look. The issue I had with them is that the face is so hard. It doesn't feel forged and I don't get much response on my mis-hits.

I liked a lot about these. The cavity back gave me confidence and you got a nice, high flight on a good hit. Unfortunately, those were too few and far between.

Paul

This has a classic design with a smaller head. It gave me a low launch and average distance. For me, the biggest issue was its weight. It was slower moving through the hitting zone. You had to be patient to let the club catch up.

The top edge is kinda rounded so doesn't look as intimidating. It's definitely got forgiveness to it, which for a forged club is pretty impressive. You can feel off-center hits in your hands and lose a little distance, but not much. Because of its forgiveness, you can go after it and get extra distance if you need to.

Skylar

It feels pretty good when you hit it on the sweet spot. If you don't, it feels dead. That said, you can work the ball. Even on a bad ball, it doesn't go too erratic.

Wayne

When I look at the club, the head looks smaller, which I'm not a fan of. More of a personal preference. That said, it performs really nice. It's forgiving and has good velocity. It has a slightly louder sound than others that I've hit, but I love the sound.

The hollow-body construction and a thinner, more flexible cupface (in which the face wraps around part of the sole and topline) on the 3- through 5-iron provide more ball speed and a higher launch to enhance distance.

The single-piece forged cavity-back is more compact than the P·770.
Cavities in the sole are milled out, allowing for tungsten (up to 11 grams) and a slug of lightweight metal-matrix composite to be inserted to lower the center of gravity.
The metal-matrix composite is one-fifth the density of the surrounding steel. This allows for more perimeter weighting and ultimately forgiveness.
