‘Either someone died or cheated’: Wife of the year makes once-in-a-lifetime golf thrift find

The best thrift store haul is usually a slightly used pair of jeans and maybe a cool DVD, so we can’t imagine it getting much better than a personal makeshift Hot List selection of Cobra clubs with a Scotty Cameron putter thrown in to boot.

That may seem like an exaggeration, but this early candidate for Wife of the Year found a Ping bag loaded with top-of-the-line clubs for a ridiculous price of $19.99. (Please drop your pin!) Some people have all the luck, and this man can never say a bad word again about his significant other’s thrifting TikTok. As Tiger Woods recently said, “Love is in the air.”

“I think I just won Wife of the Year,” thrifting guru Caroline Ecker writes. “When you send your husband a video from the thrift store asking if he wants these golf clubs … and he calls you immediately freaking out. Anyone know why?”

Viktor Hovland and Rory McIlroy might be our most recent champions on tour, but Caroline Ecker’s husband is right up there in terms of golf bliss.
